Mothers’ Union of COS
The Mothersā Union is an International Christian Organization, whose main aim is to support families and communities in need of support around the world. The Organization was founded in 1876 in the United Kingdom by Mary Elizabeth Sumner wife of the then Rector of Winchester Cathedral and now has a growing membership of over four million members in eighty four countries.
The Mothers Union here at the Episcopal Church of Our Saviour, was created on Sunday April 29, in the year of Our Lord 2001 by the then Rector Rev. Mark Pendleton under the name āWashington Metropolitan Area Branchā it was shortly before our inaugural service that Father Pendleton invited us to become a ministry here at this Church and then became The Mothersā Union Episcopal Church of Our Saviour.
We will always be grateful to Father Pendleton, the vestry and the entire membership for accepting us as an integral Ministry here at this Church.
